Job Description

What you'll do

A compassionate and reliable professional care worker is sought to support a young girl with complex disabilities in Solihull. You will work in the family home, where she lives with her family.

'I am non-verbal, but I’ve recently started using an Eye Gaze device at home and school to help me communicate. This is still quite new for both me and my family, so it’s important that you give me plenty of time to respond and understand what I’m trying to say.

I really enjoy it when people talk with me, read me stories, and – best of all – when I get cuddles. I have my own box of toys that I love playing with, and my mum will have specific activities she’d like me to do throughout the day.

I do enjoy watching cartoons, but you’ll need to speak with my parents, as they prefer I watch them for a limited amount of time. I love being around my sister, although sometimes I need a bit of quiet time on my own. Please check in with my mum about how best to keep me engaged in activities that support my development and well-being.'

This is a rewarding role for someone who is professional, empathetic, and dedicated to providing high-quality care.

Qualifications
