Job Description

What you’ll do

Young boy needing support.  He has a great sense of humour and a lovely personality, he enjoys a walk out in the world, loves sensory interaction with staff and always greets you with a smile. 

Because of his medical condition, full support and monitoring are required. Your duties will include, PEG feeding for some of his nutrition, medication administration and providing personal care. Due to his condition, this little boy needs support with mobilisation and hoist transfers. Although he is non-verbal, once you get to know him, this young boy can easily tell you his feelings through gestures, movements and facial expressions.

The package is 6 hours on a Saturday and Sunday plus an additional 12 hours during the week on school holidays.               

Qualifications

What you’ll need

You’ll need to be caring and compassionate, and a good listener. Experience working with learning disabilities and autism is also essential.
