Job Description

What you’ll do

With this role, you will be supporting an adult with Down syndrome and Autism in their home and supporting them in the community. Our client has 24/7 care, and you would be joining a team of carers who make a real difference.  

The daily tasks with this care role include:

• Assisting with all aspects of daily living, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
• House keeping
• Stock management and ordering consumables.
• Assisting with Physio.
• ​Carefully and safely supporting access to planned community activities, managing sensory input, and promoting positive social interactions.

Our client loves listening to music, watching films, day trips, arts and crafts, gym visits, eating out, swimming, cooking, singing, painting nails, clothes and dressing up

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

The successful candidate will have some care experience, ideally supporting people with mental health challenges. We are looking for someone that can offer plenty of care, compassion and resilience as we provide full nurse-led training.
