Job Description

What you’ll do

In this rewarding role, you will support a child with complex care needs, providing compassionate personal care, seizure management, medication administration, observation monitoring and PEG feeding. Our client is a young boy with Kabuki Syndrome, Epilepsy and learning difficulties. He is non-verbal and non mobile.

The right candidate will be calm under pressure, emotionally resilient. We need someone kind but firm, who can manage challenging moments with sensitivity and who thrives in a lively, family centered setting.

As a Registered Nurse working within this care package, you will provide a high standard of nursing care. There will be an up-to-date care plan, for you to follow to ensure that you are aware of the client’s needs and wishes.

Key Responsibilities:

• PEG for medication and feeding
• Ventilator management
• Moving and handling
• Suction when required
• Personal care
• Moving and handling
• Supporting daily routines

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

• Registered Nurse Diploma/Degree with an up-to-date NMC Pin
• Commitment to providing the best possible care for the client
• To be self-motivated, enthusiastic, caring and compassionate
• Previous complex nurse experience                   
• Experience in peg feeding and ventilator experience is essential.
