Location: Brighton

Pay Rate: £15 per hour

Shifts Available: Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays - 8am - 8pm

Job Description


Complex Care Assistant: Role & Responsibilities

This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your current skill base and join us as a Complex Care Assistant. You will receive full training and clinical support to develop and improve skills in various complex areas, including tracheotomy, ventilation, seizure management, and stoma care, among others.

The client is a young gentleman who is wheelchair bound with spinal muscular atrophy who is currently studying mathematics and business at university. Your day-to-day in this role will be to support him during his educational studies and to offer companionship during social and daily activities.

Care Assistant Job: Skills & Requirements

Previous experience in a complex care assistant role would be extremely advantageous in the following:

  • Tracheostomy Management
  • Medication
  • Moving & Handling Equipment
  • Mobility
  • Good Communication Skills

Otherwise, the care assistant skills and attributes needed are:

  • Compassion
  • Resilience
  • A willingness to learn
