Location: Blindley Heath

Pay Rate: £17 per hour (weekdays)                     

                 £18.50 per hour (weekends)

Shifts Available: Waking Nights 10 pm - 7 am  (2 Nights - 18 Hours)

Access to vehicle required due to geographical location of role.

Job Description


What you’ll do

This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your current skill base and join us as a Children’s Complex Care Assistant. You will have full training and clinical support to develop and enhance skills in various complex areas such as tracheotomy, ventilation, seizure management, and stoma care plus so much more! We care for and support people of all ages, in the community, and in their homes, with Spinal Cord injury, Muscular dystrophy, acquired brain injuries and many other complex needs. Every day will be different. And you’ll never know what challenges you’re about to face next. One thing you can be sure of though, is that you’ll be making your clients’ days brighter, whilst developing your skills and knowledge.

 

The client is a lovely little girl who lives her Mum and their pet dog, she suffers from Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy since birth and due to this she does require gastronomy care, medicating via peg feed; including management of seizures, dystonia and administration of oxygen. 

You will be required to monitor her condition closely through out the night, caring for her needs during this time. 

Qualifications


What you’ll need

Experience in childcare involving peg feeding, suctioning, and administering medication is essential, along with moving and handling equipment.
